AMALIO / Information
Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Amalio for using the app. You accept them with a tap inside the app before your first recording, and you see them again whenever they materially change. They are written plainly on purpose: what you should know about your responsibility and ours is here, not in the margins.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using Amalio you accept these terms and the privacy policy. The service is for people aged sixteen and over; if you are younger, do not use it. You accept the terms by tapping "I agree and continue" in the app; we keep the date of your acceptance and the version you accepted.
2. What the service is
Amalio keeps your audio recordings in your account, turns them into a transcript with the speakers told apart, and offers AI tools that work on the text (translation, an instruction you write, questions, a chat over your archive), plus one optional feature behind its own consent: the living memory (decisions, commitments and questions extracted from your transcripts). Speaker names are the ones you type; they are not derived from the voice. Some features may not be available in some regions.
3. Your responsibility for recording
You alone are responsible for making sure that recording any conversation is lawful where you are and where the participants are, for informing them and obtaining their permission where the law requires it, and for the lawfulness and provenance of any file you upload. Amalio does not record on its own, does not join your meetings and does not run in the background; recording is your act, with a button. In some countries and states every party must consent before a recording.
4. Artificial intelligence and its output
Transcripts, translations, summaries, memory items and chat answers are produced by automated AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete or wrong; they may attribute words to the wrong person or infer what was never said. They are provided "as is" without warranty, are not legal, medical, financial or any other professional advice, and you must review them before relying on or sharing them. When you type in the chat or ask by voice, you are talking to an automated assistant, not a person. We promise no accuracy rate.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Amalio to monitor or eavesdrop on a person without their knowledge where the law forbids it, to impersonate anyone, to upload content that breaks the law or others' rights or that involves sexual exploitation of children (the one kind of content the system refuses to process at all), or to attack the service, evade the limits of your plan or manipulate the models' output. We may suspend an account that does.
6. Your content and the licence
Your recordings, transcripts and everything derived from them for you are yours. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and transfer them to the sub-processors named in the privacy policy for one purpose: running the service you asked for. We do not use your content to train any model, do not sell it, and nobody looks at it except at your request or for a recorded operational need. AI-generated content is yours to use at your own risk.
7. Privacy and data
The privacy policy is part of these terms: it says what we collect, whom we share it with, where it is processed, how long we keep it and how you delete it. By accepting these terms you acknowledge that your data is processed outside your country by the processors it describes, in the way it explains.
8. Credit and plans
The service comes with the minutes and credit of each plan as shown in the app. Optional features draw on your plan's credit in the way stated where you turn them on. Subscriptions, when offered, are managed by the app store, not by Amalio.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or loss of profit or data arising from your use of the service or your reliance on its output, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live — including rights that cannot be waived in the European Union and the United Kingdom — or our liability for fraud or gross negligence.
10. Indemnity
You indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your recording of a conversation without a legally required permission, from content you uploaded, or from your breach of these terms, including reasonable legal costs.
11. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account and all its data at any time from inside the app. We may suspend the service or end an account that breaches these terms or endangers the service or its users, and we will tell you why where the law allows.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. A material change is shown to you in the app at least thirty days before it takes effect and must be accepted again; if you do not agree, you may delete your account before it takes effect.
13. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the service's operator is established, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection of the country where you live. Disputes go to the competent courts there unless mandatory law says otherwise.
